Social Impact Consultant

Role Description:

Aleron is currently hiring for a graduate or early career social impact consultant.

You’ll work with our team to deliver a range of client projects, playing an active role in all aspects of client engagement. You’ll also help to support key internal projects contributing to the ongoing growth and operations of the company. We are a high energy and entrepreneurial team – commitment, risk-taking and a strong work ethic is essential, as is a sense of fun.

Key activities will include, but not limited, to the following:

  • Problem solving – thinking creatively and logically to understand the challenges faced by our clients to generate new ideas and solutions
  • Data analysis – conducting research, gathering data, and developing analytical / business case models, to provide insights for our clients
  • Supporting client workshops and interviews – actively listening, responding to and building on clients’ thoughts to develop their thinking, build consensus and drive change
  • Reporting and communicating – structuring communications and thoughts to convey complex messages and concepts to our clients in a simple and clear format
  • Implementing and embedding – working with the client and Aleron team members to help embed recommendations, including business process design and supporting training workshops.

Candidate Profile:


  • Strong academic background and track record of achievement and high performance in a professional and/or extracurricular setting
  • Ability to build effective relationships with people at all levels and manage stakeholders, to drive change
  • Ability to manage a high workload with multiple competing priorities and work with a high degree of proactivity and autonomy
  • Passion for social sector work in the UK
  • Hands on, operationally minded, pragmatic and highly organised.
  • Effective communication skills and complete fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment


  • An undergraduate degree with a grounding in quantitative analysis (e.g. in the sciences, engineering, or economics) or an advanced degree (e.g. M.Sc., MBA, PhD)
  • Previous experience working in strategy, finance, planning or operational improvement and/or the social sector
